This statement explains how the website complies with accessibility standards, identifies known issues, and explains how to report problems. Eldan strives to ensure our digital services are perceivable, operable, understandable and robust for all users, including those using assistive technologies.

How accessible is this website?

The website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. This means that some parts of the website do not yet fully meet the accessibility standard.

Content that is not fully accessible

We are aware of the following accessibility issues:

Buttons without discernible text

Several buttons do not contain visible text or appropriate ARIA attributes (such as aria-label). This can prevent screen reader users from understanding the button’s purpose.

Links without accessible names

Some links, particularly those leading to social media or image files, are missing descriptive text, aria-label, or title attributes. These links may be difficult to interpret for users relying on screen readers.

Insufficient color contrast

Many text elements, form fields, and buttons have foreground/background color combinations that fail to meet the required contrast ratio of 4.5:1. This affects readability, especially for users with low vision or color blindness.

Missing or incorrect labels on form fields

Certain input fields lack associated labels or rely solely on placeholder text. This can confuse users who navigate with assistive technologies.

Improper ARIA structure

Elements using ARIA roles like menuitem are not correctly nested inside the required parent roles such as menu or group. This disrupts the expected behavior for assistive technologies.

HTML list structure issues

Some <ul> elements contain children with role=menuitem directly, which violates semantic HTML guidelines and can lead to navigation issues.

Zooming and scaling disabled on mobile

The <meta> viewport tag includes user-scalable=0, which disables the ability for users to zoom. This may hinder accessibility for users with visual impairments.

What we are doing to improve accessibility

We are continuously working to correct the accessibility issues described above. Improvements are part of the ongoing development and maintenance of https://www.eldan-recycling.com.

Accessibility is integrated into our design, content and development processes, and updates are prioritized based on user impact and feasibility.
